Elysa R. Merlin and Dustin Sher Announched as New Partners at Dorot & Bensimon PL

It is our pleasure to announce the promotion of both Elysa Merlin, Esq., LL.M. and Dustin Sher, Esq., LL.M. to partners at DOROT & BENSIMON PL!

Much deserved, much earned, and about time!

Elysa joined Dorot & Bensimon in September 2014. Focusing primarily in the field of international and domestic wealth planning, her practice also includes estate planning, pre-immigration, and expatriation planning for non-U.S. persons, and planning for foreign investment in U.S. real property. Additionally, she has an expertise in international and domestic tax controversy, business planning, and charitable planning. Elysa is a native of Miami, Florida and has a 5-year daughter who is the light of her life.
She holds a B.B.A. from The George Washington University, a J.D. from University of Florida Levin College of Law, and received her LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.

Dustin joined Dorot & Bensimon in August 2017. With a strong accounting background, Dustin adds a valuable perspective to addressing clients’ needs. His practice includes pre-immigration tax planning, structuring for foreign investment in U.S. real property, FATCA compliance for clients with U.S. filing obligations and planning for U.S. individuals making investments abroad. Dustin is admitted to practice law in Florida, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. In his spare time, he enjoys experiencing new cuisines, following all things sports, and traveling the globe. Go HEAT and go Cats!
He holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University, a Master’s from The George Washington University, received his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and achieved an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law.
